Kelsie Newby

Kelsie Newby raised her hand tonight at prayer to pray for the people who’s lives will be touched and changed with the upgrade to our building.  As soon as Pastor Micah called her name my wife turned to me and said “she is the perfect person to pray for that.”, and I agree.  I remember meeting Kelsie for the first time at the rocky horror picture show.  We talked about the bag of rice in my hand and what you can make with Duct tape.  It was a great conversation…really.  Not too long after that she started coming to 247 with us and really becoming apart of the church.  Eventually she gave her life to Christ and she has been changing lives ever since.  She is now a team leader for the alter ministry and doing a great job.  She has already recruited two people in the past 2 months she has been a TL.  And when I talk to her about the people who just gave their lives to Christ you can really see that she is excited for them and absolutely loves them.  She is an inspireation to alot of people…even if she doesnt know it.  And I am happy to call her my friend.  She is a beautiful woman of God and I am excited to see what else God is going to do through her.

Thanks Kelsie for doing what you do.  I love you.

Smile Charlotte…Smile

The other morning Charlotte woke me up…well Jennifer brought Charlotte in to wake me up.  So Charlotte laid down next to me.  She was so happy to see me that she started to smile, and not just a little bit.  This was not gas as some people may be thinking.  So I picked up my phone and started to film.

Lately she has been smiling on purpose alot more.  That makes me happy to know that  when my daughter sees me she is happy.  I asked Jennifer if she smiled at her a lot…”No…not that much” she said with out a smile and the stink eye.

What a Great Family!

Well, officially I am back from my “paternal” leave but I dont go back into the office until tuesday.  I have had a great time with my family and experianceing the begining of this new stage of my life.  Thanks again to everyone who has prayed for us and helped us out the past two weeks.  It would have been much…MUCH harder to get through it.  Its great to know that I have such a great family @ Living Word.  Also to Jenn and I’s moms thank you for spending some nights with us in the begining.  We would still be sleep deprived if you had not stayed with us.

Two Weeks off

So I have the next two weeks off for paternity leave = Yes!  So I get to spend lots of time taking pictures.  Check out the flickr site on your right.

Going through this experiance helped me to realize something.  I am so in love with my wife.  She is everything I have ever wanted in someone to spend the rest of my life with.  I knew it when I asked her to marry me…started to understand it when we were married and every day since then the love that I have for her gets more and more real.  These past days I have really been able to know her more, and see the strength on the inside of her.

We Clicked our Heals 3 Times…

…and now we are back home.  No nurses to call on (or come storming in your room at 3am to take blood from your baby), Just us.  Thank you to everyone who was praying for us.  Who knows what we would have gone through if it wasnt for the prayers.  To everyone who is involved in takeing care of us by bringing food, and just being there…Thank you.

And so it begins…not sure of the details but I know Charlotte will be a fine woman of God, a true “Warrior Princess”  I love you Charlotte Elizabeth Tobler.

I have waited a long time for this day.

Some More Pics

Hello everyone.  Jen and I have had some sleep……but we can use more.  I think we were up for about 40 hours these past 2 days.  Charlotte is doing great.  She is passing all the tests, she is very healthy and here is the proof.

This is about 20 minuets after the birth...after they wiped her off.

First time to hold her and I was not sure how to do it.

We had the right people for this. The Best Dr and Best Nurse!...Nurse Suzie was absolutely amazing!

Here she is asleep after a long hard day of being a baby! This is called a baby burrito.

Charlotte Elizabeth Tobler was born on July 16th 2008.  She was 7lbs 10oz and 21in tall (even though she cant stand yet)  She is absolutely gourgeous!

4 In The Morning

Im proud of Jennifer.  She is strong.  The contractions are frequent and she is really haveing to breath through them.

Colin you can let Parker know that my McDees did not come with a transformer but Jo Suo did.  With the instructions I successfully transformed half of it and put it back to the truck mode.  Not my most proud accomplishment.
