My Blog Was Hacked!

29 06 2008

I was going through my email and there it was…responses to a post I did not write.  My own wife hacked my blog and posted for me.  Hmmm thats not a bad idea, now that she is home and not doing anything ;) she has time to now write on my blog for me.  Can i delegate that?  I took a sabadical from blogging.  not sure why but it has been long enough to call it that.  But you know whats wierd, some other people stoped blogging as well for a bit…mabye it was ment to be.

To catch you up, Im done with my teaching and i had a great time.  I hope everyone was able take some stuff home with them.  Now that I do not need to study for the series I can focus on catching my baby when its her birthday.  I am an excited dad and cant wait to hold Charlotte for the first time

Am I making a point or squishing someones head?

one of the great things about jamie is that he gives me access to all his stuff … i have all his passwords to everything … even this blog.  i got tired of not seeing anything new during my regular blog-stalking sessions, so i had to add a new post to his blog … so for all of you out there who were growing weary of seeing the fish journal, here’s a new post for you.

check this out for an awesome teaching by jamie.  he rocked the house this past weekend during the FEET series, and this weekend will be no different!  i’m proud to say, “yupp, that’s my baby daddy!”.

-Jenn (haha, i hacked into your blog!)

Moleskine

6 06 2008

For a while I have been looking for a nice journal that I can write my teaching notes in.  And one day last month on one of my favorite blogs I ran across a post about the wonderful blank paged books called Moleskine.  That post led me to the cult that is forming around these journals.  Overnight I went from level 1 to level 4.  And I have no guilt.

What really sold me was the ability to create your own covers and the art that was being placed on them.  Modofly was one company that works with artists from all over to imprint there designs on the books.  Check out all the different pieces they have.

Here is the one I bought to write my teachings in.  You will see it during the Feet series at the end of this month.

How to Get God to Talk to You…Everytime

2 06 2008

I can see some of you now, getting comfortable in your seat excited about getting God to talk to you…and you should be. Who would not want the creator of the universe talking to you, helping you in your everyday situations and knowing what to do next in your life.

Ive been there, even recently I have called out to God and asked Him to speak to me. Then I clenched my fists and closed my eyes real tight to try and hear Gods voice. Somewhere in the Bible it talks about the more closed your eyes are the better you can hear God…right? Really, all that happens is I just hear the ringing in my ears. That used to happen a lot until I found out how to get God to talk to me every time! I found out that God is speaking all the time we are just not paying attention.

Here is how you can hear God every time…You read His word. I can see some of you are let down right now, thinking, “I knew that already.” and that is exactly why you don’t know this already. If you did you would not have been looking for a magical answer.

God is speaking to us through His word. Giving us all the answers we are asking for. It may not be what shirt to wear or what parking spot to take, but our questions are answered when we know where to look. God promises us all things that pertain to life and godliness, He promises us peace and that all of our needs will be met, amongst many more promises. Maybe it will not be how you picture it, but Gods promises are pure. He will always be faithful.

There are times when God does speak to us in prayer or even walking down the street…but it will always be backed by His word. God is always speaking, you just have to know where to look.
